Solar Mesh for Bird Control

In today’s world, solar energy plays a vital role in reducing our carbon footprint and promoting renewable energy. However, one of the most unexpected challenges faced by solar panel owners is the damage caused by birds. Birds tend to nest under solar panels, leading to potential hazards and decreased efficiency. This is where Solar Mesh comes in as a reliable solution. Bird Solutions GP offers state-of-the-art solar mesh installations to protect your solar panels from bird-related damages.

What is Solar Mesh?

Solar mesh, also known as solar panel bird mesh, is a specialized protective barrier installed around solar panels to prevent birds from nesting underneath. It is crafted from durable materials like stainless steel or galvanized steel to ensure long-lasting protection. This mesh forms a physical barrier between birds and the underside of your panels without compromising the functionality of the solar system. The mesh ensures adequate airflow while effectively keeping birds away.

Why Do You Need Solar Mesh?

Birds, especially pigeons, are notorious for creating nests under solar panels, leading to several issues:

  • Damage to Solar Panels: Nesting birds can cause physical damage to the wiring and connectors of the panels, potentially disrupting their function.
  • Fire Hazards: Birds may bring flammable materials such as twigs and dry leaves to build their nests, which can pose a fire risk.
  • Health Risks: Bird droppings can harbor harmful bacteria and pathogens, posing health risks to homeowners.
  • Reduced Efficiency: Bird nests, droppings, and debris can obstruct the sunlight, reducing the efficiency and power output of solar panels.

Installing solar mesh helps mitigate these risks and prolong the lifespan of your solar investment.
